I'm sure many people have come to you about a lot of different races/species and a lot of different ideas. I always wondered if Mermaids would ever be a doable thing? Or something the creators of BL could see coming in the future?Thanks for your time!

Liquid Designs isn't known for speed when it comes to species/race development. Since each species has its own HUD, I understand why. But other systems (or at least one in particular I am personally familiar with) use only one HUD for all races, making it easy to add species to their game as desired.
Since part of Liquid's income depends on revenue from players purchasing multiple HUDs, I doubt they will ever switch to this option (not to mention the resulting outrage from people who spent money purchasing all those HUDs).
That said, I would love to see MORE races, including fairy, mer, fawn/puck (anyone seen Amazon's "Carnival Row"?!?!), centaur, troll, elf, etc.; but especially gatanthrope/ailuranthrope (either word will suffice, but "gatanthrope" is way easier to spell!).

Actually, gatanthrope would be pretty easy to implement with only a small amount of modification to The Rage. In the HUD, where you choose things like Gender, you could also have a button to choose wolf or cat (canine or feline). Change some of the marketing textures, and there you go! Easy peasy, lemon squeezy.

Hmmm... well, and change a bunch of verbiage in the website... and prolly some other stuff I'm not aware of. But as changes go, it's still probably easier than creating a wholly new species.

I would love to see Liquid do a species based on the Demagorgon from Stranger Things. Or even Vecna from ST. :D
