Retire the Determined Wells - Return to HUD based Achievement!

The Determined Wells are defective.  They do not always apply Touches toward your achievement, despite acknowledging you have touched them (I lost over 90 days of history even when I got a message stating I had touched the well too many times; but it never recorded any of those touches toward my achievement).

Additionally, it is extremely inconvenient to have to TP to a Liquid sim (which forces you to their landing point so you can't just TP directly to a well), travel to the well, Touch it and hope it takes.  Then if it doesn't acknowledge your Touch, you have to keep coming back (if you remember) and trying again, because you can't just WAIT there until it's ready to acknowledge your touch:  you will be booted from the sim if you are "inactive" too long.

And, BTW, being busy in your viewer with IMs, managing groups, sorting your inventory, or other non-motion pursuits aren't good enough to count as being "active."  You have to "physically" move your avatar a certain distance or else it boots you out (I tried just moving my avatar a few steps one way and back again, but that wasn't enough movement for it).  It does give warnings, but if your attention is focused elsewhere and you lose track of the time, you're out.

The previous system only required you to wear your HUD, wherever you happened to be in Second Life.  Just log in and have your HUD attached.  That's it.

I'm not sure why Liquid chose to go to this clunky system for the Determined achievement, but it seems largely designed to increase traffic to their sims, then get you out quickly to control lag.  Great for Liquid Designs; NOT streamlined to make player experience better.  VOTE now to change!

Frankly, I think it should count toward your Determined achievement if you log into your Bloodlines webpage. Mebby you have to click something there to activate it. But if you're already logging in to spend Charisma points, that should count toward the Determined achievement.

(And speaking of Charisma points, even if you aren't planning to play Legends, it counts as a HUD, so activate that puppy and get an extra Charisma point to spend on your favorite Bloodlines player!)

Last I had heard, the Determined Wells were put into place because the HUD system didn't exactly work correctly every time. It didn't always count when you logged in with your HUD attached, and they decided to make the Wells so there would be better accountability with a physical action. Also, the booting from the sim thing for not moving your avatar was implemented to keep things fair for those trying to do the Legends quests. Without that system, the Store landing points would be full of people who are AFK/AFKish and no one else would be able to get into the sims to play the quests. Also, they have now fixed it so that you can purchase your own Determined Well and set it up on your own land for use by anyone.
